Sept. 16 Gala to Honor Local Law Heroes, Support Local Youth Programs and Rotary Club of Fort Myers South Foundation

The Rotary Club of Fort Myers South is excited to announce the nominees for Officer of the Year for the 2017 Law & Order Ball.

The Officer of the Year will be chosen from the following nominees:

Nominees were selected from the following Lee County agencies: Cape Coral Police Department, Florida Gulf Coast University Police Department, Florida Southwestern State College Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, Lee County Port Authority Police, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Sanibel Police Department.

Five finalists will be announced before the event and one officer will be announced as the prestigious Officer of the Year at the Ball, where they will receive a custom award designed by fine jeweler and Rotarian, Mark Loren.

The Law & Order Ball will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Germain Arena (11000 Everblades Pkwy, Estero, FL 33928) at 6 pm. Paying tribute to Lee County law enforcement officers, the event honors an “Officer of the Year” and raises funds to support local Law Enforcement Youth Programs and the Fort Myers Rotary South Foundation, a fund that distributes monies raised by the Fort Myers Rotary South to local non-profits and law enforcement agencies.

Tickets are $175 each or $1,400 for a table of 8. Click here to purchase tickets. Attendees may also “Fund-A-Cop” by purchasing a special ticket that will sponsor an officer to attend. The black-tie optional gala is open to the public and includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a formal dinner, entertainment, silent and live auctions, raffles, and even more surprises such as a wine pull and a balloon pop! A portion of funds raised at the event will be distributed among the honored agencies for their youth programs.
