The Rotary Club of Fort Myers South is setting the stage for the heroes of Lee County law enforcement at the sixth annual Law & Order Ball. This year’s event, themed “Super Heroes,” will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 at Hertz Arena, located at 11000 Everblades Parkway in Estero.
Designed to thank local law enforcement agencies, the event raises funds for the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South Foundation, which provides grants to Lee County law enforcement agencies and local non-profit education organizations. A portion of funds raised at the event will be distributed among the honored agencies for their youth programs, which serve thousands of deserving children throughout Southwest Florida.
The annual Law & Order Ball recognizes and honors the everyday heroes of the following Lee County law enforcement agencies: Cape Coral Police Department, Florida Gulf Coast University Police Department, Florida Southwestern State College Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, Lee County Port Authority Police, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Sanibel Police Department. One hero from among all participating agencies will be recognized during a special presentation of the prestigious “Officer of the Year” award.
This black-tie optional gala also features cocktails, hors-d’oeuvres, formal dinner, silent and live auctions, and entertainment. Tickets for the Law & Order Ball are $175, or $1,750 for a table for 10. Those unable to attend can still participate by contributing to “Fund-A- Cop,” allowing an officer to attend the gala in their place.
Creighton Construction and Development has returned for the sixth year as the Law & Order Ball’s presenting sponsor. Additional sponsors include: Bank of the Ozarks, Cape Coral Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Edison National Bank, FineMark National Bank & Trust, Fort Myers Police Department, Gravina, Smith, Matte & Arnold Marketing and Public Relations, Geraghty, Dougherty & Stockman, P.A., Henderson Franklin Attorneys at Law, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Mark Loren Designs, Millennium Physicians Group, Park Royal Hospital, Premium Deli Provisions, Suncoast Credit Union, Southwest Florida Public Service Academy, Wells Fargo Advisors, and WINK News.
