Rotary Club of Fort Myers South to host gala Sept. 16 to honor local law enforcement, support local youth programs
Tickets are now on sale for the 2017 Law & Order Ball, presented by the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South. Now in its fourth year, this esteemed event pays tribute to Lee County law enforcement officers, honors an “Officer of the Year,” and raises funds to support local Law Enforcement Youth Programs and the Fort Myers Rotary South Foundation. The gala takes place Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Germain Arena (11000 Everblades Pkwy, Estero, FL 33928) at 6 pm and honors law enforcement officers from the following local agencies: Cape Coral Police Department, Florida Gulf Coast University Police Department, Florida Southwestern State College Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, Lee County Port Authority Police, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Sanibel Police Department. Agencies nominated up to five officers for the prestigious “Officer of the Year” award. The selected “Officer of the Year” will receive a custom award designed by fine jeweler and Rotarian, Mark Loren.
Tickets to the festive evening are $175 each and a table of 8 is $1,400. The black-tie optional gala is open to the public and includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a formal dinner, entertainment, silent and live auctions, raffles, and even more surprises such as a wine pull and a balloon pop!
The event is designed to honor local law enforcement agencies and raise money for the many community projects and nonprofits that the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South supports. A portion of funds raised at the event will be distributed among the honored agencies for their youth programs. It’s sure to be a night filled with excitement and surprises.
